So I walked into Sprouts Farmers Market yesterday for the first time and I was immediately impressed. Why? Because I could see the entire store, every department, right when I walked in. Try doing that at Dillon's or Walmart as a first timer. Having never stepped foot inside this store before, I knew immediately just by looking left then right, where I could find baked goods; where the meats, cheeses and seafood was; where the produce department was; where I could find dairy products; where I could browse for vitamins and supplements. Don't confuse that to mean Sprouts is small, it's not at all... The store is just that smartly laid out. The shelves are low profile, the aisles are spacious, the groceries are plentiful.
Sprouts offers organic and natural products ranging from essentials to gourmet. Everything is fresh, top quality and reasonably priced. In my inaugural trip to Sprouts, I found Roma tomatoes for 88 cents a pound, 1 pound bags of baby carrots for 99 cents, limes, 4 for $1, 10 ears of sweet corn for $2, French bread for 99 cents and 80% lean ground beef for $2.77 a pound.
I'll be a repeat customer and it won't take me several trips to learn what products are in what aisle. There won't be a need to ask an employee what aisle the paper plates are in because they're just that easy and convenient to find. And if you do need to ask an employee a question, it won't be about where to find something, it will be "The supply of 10 ears of corn for $2 is getting low, do you have any more in the back?" Oh, and just like how all the products are in an open view, so are the employees! To sum, Sprouts Farmers Market is smartly laid out and I won't have to worry about busting my grocery budget.
